Amanda Robertson is well aware of the challenges facing Chatham County as a consequence of unprecedented growth pressures. She will listen to the concerns of the citizens of Chatham County and will work hard to find solutions and to protect our wonderful natural resources and rural and agricultural heritage.

If ever there was a candidate with all the “right stuff” to serve as a Chatham County Commissioner, Amanda tops my list. She brings to the position a well honed skill set as an educator and communicator. She is unmatched in her broad knowledge of the critical issues that affect the quality of life in Chatham, the state and the planet. She is persistent in her pursuit of the common good. She has both the mind (intellect) and heart (moral values) to serve our rapidly changing county with distinction. We are blessed to have on the ballot a candidate of such character and commitment.

I’ve known Amanda Robertson for many years as friend, board member and community member. I cannot think of anyone finer for the job of Chatham County Commissioner. Her integrity, her fire, her passion and her experience will serve us all extremely well. The timing could not be more perfect.

As a former county commissioner, I have been impressed by the enthusiasm, hard work and dedication that Amanda Robertson has put into so many important issues here in Chatham – climate mitigation and resilience, affordable housing, environmental protection and sustainable land use planning. She has valuable experience as a successful small business owner, planning commissioner, county climate advisory committee member and citizen environmental and sustainable development leader. Amanda Robertson is the type of inclusive community collaborator that will make her an outstanding county commissioner. She has my enthusiastic support.

Our beautiful county is in the midst of extraordinary transitions, and Amanda Robertson is the kind of person we need to engage in local politics: fresh, kind, strategic and brave. We can count on her to protect the environment, pursue social justice and respond to the many needs of Chatham County.  We need her. Let’s unite behind her.

Amanda Robertson is a person who says what she means and means what she says, but she never comes across as harsh or judgmental. I have known her to be very fair, very compassionate and always willing to take the time to listen to others and treat them with respect, even if she doesn’t necessarily agree with them. She is a person of integrity, boundless energy and she has a vision for Chatham that will create a better world for all of us. 

It was so heartening to learn that Amanda Robertson is running for County Commissioner in Chatham County. We need someone with her high level of intelligence, integrity and compassion as a leader during this critical time of change in Chatham County. I whole-heartedly endorse her and trust her competency, commitment and clear vision to guide us well.

Amanda has been a long-time committed environmentalist. And that’s a perspective Chatham needs, and she’ll serve the county well.  She’s committed to safeguarding Chatham’s resources for generations to come.

Amanda’s service on the Chatham County Planning Board and her commitment to comprehensive land-use planning and environmental preservation have prepared her for the challenges Chatham County faces. Her success as a small business owner illustrates her self-reliant management skills. And her organizational strengths as a volunteer citizen advocate demonstrate her action-oriented approach to citizen empowerment.

Amanda has the energy, empathy, smarts, and eloquence to put Chatham County’s citizens and unique natural resources front-and-center in the decision-making process. During this time of explosive growth and change, I can’t think of a better candidate for Chatham County Commissioner.
